Thanksgiving break went really well, and also really fast. It was nice for Pat and I to get to see each of our families, and spend the holidays with each other. We'll do the same for Christmas (only 3 weeks!) We also saw a few friends on Friday night, and it was great to catch up with everyone and simply relax.
Thanksgiving was tough for my family and I, but we tried to make the best of it. I'm not too good at hiding my feelings these days, so I know I showed the fact that I was pretty upset all day. It was hard looking at the other end of the table and not seeing Dad there. He always loved Thanksgiving dinner and enjoying the day with family. It was hard enjoying the day without him. Just tough. Jess sent me a really kind text, though, on the day of, and it was really great hearing from her. Pat's also a really great guy in the fact that he lets me feel the way I need to feel without holding it against me. I want him to know that I love him with all of my heart and am so excited to become his wife. I know I don't show it all the time, but I do feel it.
Saturday, Pat's family and I played a great couple of games of Cornhole! Love it! Pat and I lost every game, but we had a great time doing it :) Then, we finished off Saturday evening with a lot of mixed drinks, and some amazing Christmas Caroling/horrible piano playing. A very good evening!
Well, the countdown begins to the Christmas holiday break, a full 2 weeks off this year! I just hope these next three weeks go by quickly like our breaks do! Even though, we all know, it never works that way...
Hope everyone had a great holiday.

I'm glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving. I felt the same way...my Grandpa's birthday would have been the 24th and it was the first Thanksgiving without having his birthday party at the same time. We need to get together over the holidays - Jameson and I will be here!
