Vacay - Part Two

So, it seems as though our two week vacation has finally come to an end.  I look back, though, and all of the time spent with family and friends was amazing.  In this last week we basically had at least six roommates at a time and we loved it!

Racheal and Jameson, Charlie and Jessica, as well as Matt and Katie for a short amount of time.  The Cook's dog, Savannah, was here as well (Brody's girl).  Our dogs love each other, and after a couple of days together, they learned quickly how to behave and not constantly be crazy.  Brody is super depressed already, though, that she's gone.  Just another excuse for us to get back together!!

There was a lot of eating, drinking, Scattergories, Guitar Hero, and just relaxing and catching up.  Pat and I miss you folks, so it's so nice to get together when we can. :o)

2008 was kind of a blur, so much happened.  The biggest was my dad dying.  You never get over it, and I'm certainly still in the early stages.  It was hard ringing in the new year, knowing that he wasn't there to call and yell Happy New Year to.  He always said it was just another day, but now it's becoming another day without him.  It's tough.  

I also got engaged! 

Things have been good, planning is going well and tomorrow marks only three months left!  It's hard to believe that we are already this close, but it's exciting as well.  It will certainly be a time to celebrate and get together with old friends again.  

In 2009, Pat and I will be getting married, paying off some of our debts, and beginning to start saving for a house.  

I'm going to continue exercising this year, eating right, I will purchase one great piece of clothing a month to create a better wardrobe, I will participate in as many Heart Walks as I possibly can, I will become a wife, and I will continue to love my family and friends.  I will always miss Dad, but I know I will see him again and he's in a better place.  His memory is so strong, and he isn't suffering anymore.  I'm sure he's up in heaven running the place, telling everyone how things should be done, and he's watching over us.
