A Valentine's Day Flourish

What a great weekend! I'm, again, SUPER STOKED about our wedding! Can you believe it, only 49 more days! Wow. But anyway, My excitement has been rejuvenated since going to get alterations done on my dress. It was so much fun to try it back on and realize, number one, that it still fits, and number two, it actually fits better! WOO HOO! But, it just made me realize what a fun day this is going to be. We've planned a lot of fun things and I'm sure it will be amazing! Hope you all think so too!

So, this year for Valentine's day, I spent the majority of the time with my mom. It was good quality time, just her and I. She took me to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, YUM! And might I mention, HUGE portions. My mom's review: Portion sizes too big for normal people. Needless to say, there were a lot of giant people in that restaurant!

But, we also got many things accomplished. I bought our napkins, our guestbook, my bridesmaid gifts are done, next weekend we will finalize flowers and reception site details. I'm excited! We have a few things left to buy, but we've budgeted well, so we should have no problems. One piece of advice for those of you currently planning for a wedding, do a lot of shopping online! You get to do it from your own home, not waste a lot of gas, and you can find some really amazing deals! Start searchin'!

Lastly, I wanted to post a few songs for this festive Valentine's Day celebration. There are THREE new songs to your right which I hope you enjoy. The first song is by the infamous Darius Rucker, new country artist (check him out!) One that goes out to the guys, every word is so damn true! The second being a song to my mom. Without her I don't know where I would be in life. She is constantly there to pick me back up, and with planning this wedding, man, she's just been amazing. So, thank you, mom, thanks for being you. My third tune is actually a Jessica Simpson song. I know I've made fun of her a bit, but, underneath it all I actually enjoy her. I'm sure I'll receive a lot of criticism for that, but whatever. I recently bought her new country album off of iTunes and I posted my favorite song. It's a duet that's sung with good ole' Dolly Parton. Her face may look rough, but her voice hasn't changed. So, give it a shot, you may just like it. PS - this song goes out to my soon-to-be husband, who is absolutely amazing!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone, I hope you celebrated with those you love. Love you all!
