Lot Goin' On

As I promised, we're back from our honeymoon in Disneyworld! It was a great adventure with my Husband and it was simply nice to get away for a while. I can't believe it's already over and we're headed back to reality soon.

Mom was babysitting Brody for the week, so we rented a car up in Fairfax to make it a touch easier. It was a really simple process and we got a 2008 Nissan Altima, a pretty sweet ride. We didn't want to put the miles on my car and we needed air conditioning, so we definitely weren't taking Pat's!

We drove to Savannah, Georgia for the day and stayed there on Saturday night. It was crowded to say the least! We saw many "different" types of people, people walking around with beers like it was St. Patty's day everyday there, a lot of rastafarians, just crazy folks. We stayed at the River Street Inn that was right in the middle of everything. It used to be an old cotton storage facility that they've renovated into a lovely country inn right on the water. We tried to get a reservation at Paula Dean's for Easter brunch, but it was a no-go, packed full all day. So, on Easter we simply headed for Florida!

In Florida we stayed at the Mona Lisa Suite Hotel, it hasn't even been open for a year yet. But, they are suite rooms so they have a kitchen and a living room, it was nice to have those amenities for the week. They had a free shuttle to and from the parks, and we had park-hopper passes for the week, so we could go wherever we wanted.

Animal Kingdom on Monday, Hollywood Studios and Epcot on Tuesday, and we ended with the best park on Wednesday, The Magic Kingdom. We had good weather for the most part, Tuesday it rained a lot, but we had our Disney ponchos and didn't let it get us down! It was nice to get back into the parks and see all of the changes and upgrades. My favorite part of our honeymoon, though, was by far the Hoop-Dee-Doo on Monday Night. The food was outstanding, the entertainment was great, and they even found out that Pat and I were on our honeymoon and sang for us in front of the crowd while we slow danced. It was pretty neat!

I highly recommend going to Disneyworld for your honeymoon, just a great place! We also played it up with our "Just Married" pins and got a lot of free stuff, got to be in a movie, free food, MANY congratulations, as well as our slow dance at the Hoop-Dee-Doo. We played it up as much as possible!

We're sad it's over, but we'll always remember our honeymoon as a wonderful time spent together making memories. We'll be honeymooning for the rest of our lives! :)
