I Miss Playing

Soccer was such a huge part of my life, I played for ten years and probably should have continued in college. A lot of the girls that I played with are still playing and went on to get scholarships in college. I took the music route which I love, but I still miss soccer.

Tough day for the USA team today...they lost to Brazil in the FIFA Confederation Cup 3 to 2. USA was dominating in the first half and their second goal was the epitomy of perfection. Good passing, clean, one trick at the end, and in. Great! The second half didn't happen like the first, though. Brazil came back and ended up winning the game by one. Good effort USA, but like my dad always said, a win's a win. Brazil wasn't the better team in my opinion, but they won.

Also brings me back to the Women's World Cup and Brandi Chastain's winning goal. Not only did the USA Women's Soccer Team win that year, but Brandi took off her shirt and had an amazing time celebrating! It was a great day for not only the women's soccer team, but women's sports in general.
