What a Weekend!

Whew! I just got back from a fun-filled fourth of July weekend, we did so much! First we headed to my mom's house on friday to begin the celebration a bit early. One of the perk's for heading up north is the fact that there is a Crate & Barrel close by, so we could finally spend our wedding gift certificates, the last to use! We are very excited about our final purchases, check them out!

We finally completed our flatware set! We think it will go perfectly with our already owned southern style dinnerware set!We also bought our kitchen storage set!
We then ate an amazing dinner at Red Robin! Bottomless fries, peach tea, and my new favorite burger, the Royal Red Robin Burger! Topped with a fried egg and hickory-smoked bacon, YUM! Try it!
The fourth of July included a rockin' cookout, spending the day outside, Norah Jones background music, playing fetch with the dog, and a MEAN game of Scrabble with a fine Pinot! Love it!!
We then headed down to Yorktown to see the Woodwards. We had planned to go to the Harborfest, but weather shot that idea down immediately. Sorry Dave Barnes, we'll have to wait until next time. Instead, we had a great movie night! We bought a lot of candy, ordered pizza, and rented three movies to spend the afternoon/evening with. Vanity Fair - awful, don't see it. I love Reese Witherspoon, but this is not the movie she wants to be remembered for. We then watched Disturbia and Confessions of a Shopaholic. GREAT movies, two thumbs up!!
Now, Patrick and I have some great projects to work on for the remainder of summer that should keep us busy. I'll keep you posted on how these projects work out:
  • Stain and darken our current bedroom furniture set
  • Find a cute slipcover for our comfortable, hideous couch
  • Allow the Geek Squad to fix the current status of my computer

And now I will leave you with the best Fourth of July video EVER! For all you dog lovers, you'll LOVE this! Check out the Firework Dog!

G'night, fellow bloggers!!
