Hope of a Complete Home

As you all know from previous posts, I did just get married a little over five months ago. And we've had a fabulous time being married, but we are a pair that constantly look towards the future and plan ahead. We are currently working on paying off a few debts, which are almost done! We've been saving a lot every month and really making headway. Like the title says, we want that home of our own, and to get out of the renting situation.

Some folks like renting for their entire lives. We aren't those people. We want our money to go somewhere, as well as the fact that we want space from our neighbors. We also want a personal space for ourselves and our puppy, Brody.

As you also know, I'm a southern girl at heart...so I thought I'd share with you some styles of homes that my dreamhouse will look like. You'll start to see a trend, people ;)

First off, it has to have a wrap-around porch. Look at this gorgeous thing...
I would spend all day on that! Here's a great house with a porch, and that long, beautiful, winding driveway. What a wonderful setting.
What about your own personal body of water near your home? I'd love it! So colonial. Do you like this plantation home? It's so like The Notebook house, don't you think, ladies?!
Now you're talkin'!
Uh huh... :)
Beautiful! I just love the antique/colonial style. It's my favorite!
And you can't complete a home without a little companion. Brody is our "first child" and he's such a bundle of fun. But wouldn't it be nice....
...if he had another little shih-poo friend!? We're hoping to get another little shih-poo like this guy from Council Kennels. This is where we bought Brody, located in Georgia, and they are wonderful. Yes, we bought our baby online!
This way, Brody has a buddy, and when we have a house, not only will they have their own fenced-in yard, but WE won't be paying extra rent for them. We always tell Brody that he needs to get a part-time job washing dishes somewhere so he can chip in a bit! ;)

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Remember...blog design, blog design, BLOG DESIGN! ;)

Later, ya'll!

Love your choices & ideas. I agree, a wrap around porch would be just perfect. I wasn't able to get a wrap around when we built last Summer, but my front porch is doing just fine. It's perfect to sit there in the evenings or morning and watch the cows in the pasture. LOVE every minute of it.

Hi Courtney! Thanks for checking out my blog. It seems like we have ALOT in common from style, decor, houses, and ECU! My sis goes there so we're there quite a bit for games and good old southern tailgating! I'm adding your blog to my list! - Cherish
