Dating Theories 101

So, the hubby and I FINALLY had a day to ourselves where we could enjoy a married date with eachother :) We decided to go out and eat a nice lunch, be outside for a little while, and have some dessert. What a great way to get out of the apartment for a little while!

First we ate at one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants - El Charro. Good prices, great food, and very authentic waiters. We love it there!
Then we played a MEAN game of put-put golf! I was allowed at least one mulligan per hole - I'm the girl...the girls are supposed to win on dates! ;) Right!?

Funny story from our put-put adventure: I had actually gotten a hole-in-one! SWEET, right!? Well, it was...until Pat gave me a high-five and forgot he had the pencil in his hand. OUCH! High-five FAIL! HA!
Then we finished off the afternoon with some great ice cream at Maggie Moo's. They do the same kind of mixing and "fun" effects that Cold Stone does. I of course had my Cake Batter ice cream with my usual toppings. I'm a toppings kind of gal!

The only problem that I have with ice cream joints...I always need water when I eat that kind of stuff. I don't know why, but I do. But ice cream shops don't usually sell anything to drink. What's up with that!?
So, after three long days of work that each lasted well over 14-15 hours...it was nice to enjoy time with my husband for a change! Just the two of us :)

Dating Theory 101 - I never quite understood why first dates are usually Dinner and a Movie. Why would you want to stuff yourself...just to go to a movie and not talk? It's always that awkward silence and you can't really say anything. First dates should be fun and you should learn about eachother. You know...TALK. I want to know that the kid has a personality...not sit in silence! Just my opinion :)

Now, both of us are REALLY relaxing...in our adjustable waist banded pants and t-shirts...that's heaven :) HAHA!

Brody's got the right idea here...
...slowly dozing...
...and he's out for the count.
So, I'm off to be like Brody :) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I'm so glad that you got to have a date night with your husband. It's really important to have some quality time together. My husband and I had a date night just last night.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'd love to work with you on a new blog style. Money's kinda tight right now. But maybe in a month or so.

How funny - I always need water when I have ice cream, too! I've never heard anyone else say it before...I always just thought I was weird.:-P

Stopping by from SITS! What a fun blog you have. I am so glad you had such a wonderful date. I agree with your dating theory. I always like the more creative dates and if he took me to dinner and a movie on the first date he generally lost mega points. Mini golf is always a favorite though. I am so glad you won!
