Wednesday's Musings: Susie Homemaker

Folks, just call me Susie Homemaker! Since I am only working 8-9 hour days this week, I have SO MUCH free time that I find myself being very productive. So I thought I would share with you my daily routine this week when I arrive home. (I'm telling you, because it might not last long!)

So, I'm a neat freak, and I can't stand a messy house. But after a 12-15 hour work day, I surely don't want to come home and clean. So my cleaning usally comes during the weekend, but not this week, people!

First, I come home and light the candles...for the great scent and the soothing feel I get from a candle :) One on our counter...
...and three on our dining room table. Vanilla scent...Delicious!
Then, I pull up my sleeves and do the dishes. Check out that spotless sink!
Today, I also did my laundry...usually UNHEARD of during the week!
Fix the pillows on the couch...they are usually all over the place by the end of the day.
Now this is a biggie....even my closet is organized, and has STAYED that way! Doesn't your closet ever look like a tornado whirled through it? Not this week!
Ok, now you might think this is weird...but, I like to make the bed....for an evening of sleep. So all I have to do is hop right in! Look, even my pj's are layed out. Can we say TYPE A!?
And then I stop my chores for the afternoon, and simply enjoy the view. I had a friend who reminded me to be thankful for the little things...because with our job, it tends to be a thankless situation. We do so much for other people and aid to others, that we forget to be thankful for the things/people around us.

Another thing I'm thankful for, I got to go to the BANK today! Usually by the time I get off work, every store is already closed...so again, be thankful for the little things :)
I'm in love with the season of Fall :)

Now I'm off to have a lovely glass of wine and continue my Grey's Anatomy series. Happy Wednesday to everybody, I hope it's a thankful one!

You go girl! I'm impressed. I was lucky to put a load of laundry in and make supper. =)

I have to do a total closet overhaul every few months cause it magically gets messy. =)

Thanks for stopping by! Your home looks great! I wish I was just a neat and organized as you. Unfortunately for me I've earned myself a spot on the people with "organized" mess list hehe. I would definitely benefit from cleaning/organizing tips from you. Have a great day!
