Wedding Wednesday: Something Blue

Well, isn't that perfect!? :)
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE (and a silver sixpence in her shoe)! It's a phrase that most people abide by when they are getting married. Click here for it's origin and historical information.

Today we are only covering the colorful portion of that saying, and discussing how a bride can follow through with that something blue. There are really so many ways, so don't feel like you have to do it one way, do what's comfortable for you!

Here's a beautiful collage of someone's wedding. A perfect start to our search, she used so many ideas and made them blue.
If you don't want the entire theme of your wedding to be blue, how about just the sash on your wedding dress? It could match your bridesmaids dresses as well!
Bridal Jewelry. Depending on the dress and how much jewelry you want to wear, you could have blue jewelry. Many folks actually kill two birds with one stone and borrow something blue. Good idea, eh!?

I adore these earings...
...how about the blue pendant? Simple, but covering your basis.
Ah, the shoes! Always a tough choice, but you could make those blue as well. It really adds a fun POP to your look.
I really love these light blue heels.
These are a little brighter and a touch more casual. Perfect as well!
Snazzy! (PS - beware of the height of the heel. You're going to be standing for a long time, so make sure your petite feet will be able to handle it!)
One of the other favorite ideas for finding something blue, is the garter. It's a much more disclosed way of fulfilling this good luck charm for your big day!
I actually did that very same thing and chose a garter that not only had a touch of blue in it, but it also matched my dress. Don't tell anyone (but I also wore blue underwear!) ;o)

This was a very inexpensive way to find that piece, and see those flowers on the second garter? Those matched the flowers on my dress! Always thinkin'!
Here I am getting help right before the ceremony.
And again...
...and we're finally good to go!
Other ideas for something blue...blue toenails!

Ok, now it's your turn! MckLinky it up and tell us what you did for YOUR something blue. Also, if you have any other ideas, we'd love to know what our blogger brides-to-be could also do!

Eat, Drink, and be Married!
