May Madness 2010

Wow people, if you are a teacher, I'm sure you understand...but May is always the busiest time of year. It is non-stop crazy-town over here, folks. So, I've got a few minutes to blog and fill you in on our past weekend extravaganza with our good friends, Scott & Jessica!

They are from Greenville, NC. (great friends from ECU) and hadn't been to Washington D.C. in a very long time, so it was high time they visited Fredericksburg and D.C. all in one weekend!
On our way to lunch we found this beautiful building downtown.
The next couple of pictures are from the National Museum of American History. One of my favorites! Here is the infamous Julia Childs' kitchen displayed.
Scott and Pat in front of a beautiful train.

Inside a replica of an old bus.
Another train shot.
Pat took this one...no clue...
The Gun Boat. The boys liked this one.

A few pictures of the World War II Memorial.

Gotta represent!

Ah yes...Ole' Virginia!
The Washington Monument.
Taking a quick break in the shade.
A beautiful walkway headed toward the Lincoln Memorial.
Haha, Jessica wasn't ready for this one.
That's much better! We were really sad that the reflecting pool...had no water! What's up with that!?
Same view, different folks!
It was so great to have Scott & Jessica over to tour them around D.C. and Fredericksburg, along with seeing our new house and meeting Brody. Brody absolutely fell in love with them, we were almost invisible all weekend long! Punk.

I hope you all are well! If you are visiting through Friday Follow, welcome and make sure to visit again soon. I love me some followers!!

Mom's coming into town tomorrow to watch the house and Brody while I take my students to Hershey Park, PA. One step closer to summer, people!

Happy weekend! I can't wait until Memorial Day weekend...can you!?
