NC Barbecue

Is the best in the world! But, there's only one restaurant that my family calls true barbecue in North Carolina, and that's Ralph's! It's located right off of I-95 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. About 8 miles past the Virginia state line. If you're ever headed that way and truly ready for the BEST barbecue and NC food, head to this place!
Technically this perfect restaurant is only two hours away from me, I could go any time I want. :) If friends are driving through that area, I'll ask them to pick some up for me. We almost thought to have our wedding catered by Ralph's! (That was in the beginning stages of the thought process.)

Always friendly staff members with fabulous southern accents (I've always wanted a big one). Here they are wrapping up the plastic silverware, they always tried to make the plastic look chic with that cute little twist of a napkin at the bottom. But folks, I have news, they've upgraded to REAL silverware this year! That's HUGE! ;)

And here's that gorgeous plate of food. They do have a buffet, but this is the perfect picture of what I get every time! Hushpuppies, slaw, brunswick stew (to dip the hushpuppies in, of course) and minced barbecue. YUM! No sauce needed for the barbecue, might I add, it tastes great as is!

Want some good Barbecue, head to Ralph's! And please don't mention Parker's Barbecue to me, I consider it a sin! It's like mentioning the Tarheels to an ECU Pirate Fan...you just don't do it!

I'm proud to say that I eat at Ralph's and I root for the Pirates!
