TILE: DIY Coffee Table

We found it! We found our tile and our color scheme for our new coffee table! This past Thursday while in Yorktown, Va., my husband and I visited Versatile Concrete Surfaces and rolled in with an idea of what we wanted. I knew I wanted some kind of light blue accents, but really didn't know much past that.

The lovely woman who helped us gave us many samples of tile that would go with our color scheme and we finally made a decision! We got a deal with our neutral colored tiles, all three sheets for only $16.00!

And here they are: These squares have some fun texture...
...these are more clean, but same color scheme...
...and finally, a more rectangular shape, but still going with the color scheme.
And finally our accent pieces! We really liked the glass tile and we also knew we just wanted simple accents. We found these in a little box in the store that was seriously hiding from us. I knew right when I saw them I wanted them! I think these beachy blues, tans and greens will make the coffee table pop, and bring a slight change to our already red theme.

I'm super stoked! This sheet of glass tile: $27.00.
So, I'm off to arrange these tiles on the glass to see which pattern I like. We've borrowed some glass cutting tools so if we need to change the shapes to fit the tabletop puzzle, we can.

More updates soon!
