Thanksgiving Dinner Traditions

On the Sunday before the Thanksgiving Holiday, all I am thinking about is the infamous, delicious, scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner that my family always creates. Go get your napkin now...so you can wipe the tears of joy away...oh yeah, and the drool! :)

Turkey...DUH! My dad worked in the meat department of Safeway for 37 years, and he always cut our turkey. I will miss that.
Dinner rolls...if they are like Logan's Roadhouse rolls, we're in good shape!
Deviled Eggs. My brother and I constantly have a contest for who can eat the most. We're very good at sneaking them too ;)
Chicken Salad. My mom's chicken salad is simple and delicious. That's all you need!
Mashed Potatoes - they need to be creamy, not lumpy.
Sweet Potato Casserole. My husband will be making this with his mom's recipe this year. I will be posting that recipe in the next couple of days. Perfect for the holidays!
And my personal favorite...Broccoli and Cheese Casserole. I could eat this every day if I could. Why, you ask!? Eh hem...one of the main ingredients is.....drum roll please....

VELVEETA!!!!
And for dessert, we usually go back and forth between some good ole' fashioned pumpkin pie.
And Sweet Potato Pie. Don't forget the Whip Cream!!
Are the tears of joy rolling down your face? Are you drooling yet!? I can't WAIT for Thanksgiving dinner with my family :)

What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions? Whether food oriented or not, I'd love to hear about them! I hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend!

My family still is able to congregate at my Mom's house every year--mainly because I'm still single and if either of my sisters gets married before me I'll... Oh right, Thanksgiving.

So yeah, we all gather for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we have exactly the same meal at each. Like, maybe a different wine, and maybe one different side dish. But the main staples must be there: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes (why my mom never makes enough I'll never know), green been casserole (can be a variable) and pumpkin and/or pecan pie.

Yum yum yum!
