'Tis the Season to Decorate...and be Jolly!

'Tis the season to get decorating, fellow bloggers! I just got back from four wonderful days spent with family, and now we're back to do some Christmas decorating! Like I had mentioned before, I headed to Michael's for their great deals and coupons yesterday, and bought a LOAD of holiday decorations :)

So, today was the day to put them all up, and we did it listening to good ole' Harry. If you don't own this, you haven't heard a fabulous Christmas cd. Go get it now!
My main reason for going to Michael's...to get an Entryway Tree. Now, with living in an apartment and hopefully moving out by March, we didn't want to go all out with a huge fake tree or real tree, for that matter. We're forward thinkers, and are already thinking ahead for what we would need when we own a house.

I can use the one entryway tree for our current Christmas tree in the apartment, and then grab another next year, and use them for what they really are for. Good thinkin', eh?!
It's simple, it was easy to put together, and will be easy to store as well. We have our small collection of ornaments as a married couple, so we thought we would show them off.

One piece missing from our collection, though, is an angel for the top of the tree. My cute ornament that my mom gave me a few years back is doing quite well right now.
And the full picture :) It's just nice to have a small little tree in our little apartment :)
Next, you have to have Santa somewhere. Here he is right by the fireplace. Brody isn't a big fan of him ;)
This year I went all out and even got a couple pieces of garland. The outside of the fireplace needed some sprucing up, so this really did the trick.
The full picture. It really adds a lot.
My traditional Christmas afghan draped over the couch.
My dining room centerpiece, as well as the nutcrackers in the back placed on the hutch.
My sincerest apologies for the DUST! That's my next project, I promise!
Isn't that snowman cute as can be on my "foyer" mantle!?
I bought these little ornaments for $1.99 at Michael's. I'm currently using those in place of our wine cork collection. Very festive!
And more garland! No berries on this one, just simple.
Here's the whole look of our bar. I traded in the wine picture at the bottom for a sparkly stocking.
Got three of these candles for $10.00 at Michael's. Cranberry Spice, Apple Crisp, and Happy Christmas. All good scents.
Had another stocking to put on my closet door to put a little Christmas cheer in the master.
Precious Moments Christmas.
And finally, what you have all been waiting for...my attempt at Thrifty Decor Chick's ornament wreath! Ok, ok...so you're going...that's NOT a wreath! Well, I could buy eight ornaments for $3.99 at Michael's. So, I bought five boxes of them. That only gave me twenty ornaments per wreath. She had used well over thirty, so all I did was make them into little balls.

Almost like a giant ornament :) I still think they look cool and give a good effect!
And here's what they look like in the dining room! They really add a lot! (Is it just me, or is the right one a touch lower?)
And here was the full picture of our place fully decorated for the holiday season. I'm so excited for Christmas to get here. I'm really looking forward to spending more time with family and friends and more time off of work...
...but for now I'll simply enjoy my new decorations!

Happy Holidays!!
