The "Joy" of Cooking

The hubby usually is the cook in our family. I can follow directions, but cooking just isn't my thing. It takes time, patience, both qualities that I don't have much of. But, tonight I thought I would make dinner for him!

Ok, so I wasn't slaving over a hot stove to create this amazing meal. My idea of giving a good meal is going out and buying something that's premade that I only have to heat up! Stouffers, baby...that's all I've got to say!

Check out what we had tonight :)
Ok, so we weren't the health nuts tonight, but gosh darnet, I was going to make dinner!

I would much rather go out to eat, than have to stay home and make my own dinner. That's why the Melting Pot is not that amazing to me.

Why am I going to spend 75 bucks a person to cook my own food!? I've done it once to simply experience it...and I'm over it.
Although, you can't beat their dessert fondue. YUM!
Speaking of the "joy" of cooking...the hubster and I watched Julie & Julia last night. What a good movie! If you blog, you must see this movie, it will inspire you and make you laugh along the way :)
Happy Hump Day! Only seven more days until Christmas break. And there's snow in the forecast for next week...cross your fingers for some snow days ;)

PS - you can see how horrible of a cook I am compared to my husband. Check out the kind of stuff he creates for dinner!

I have a hard time cooking anymore! If it takes more than 30 minutes I'm just not into it! It's hard when you come at the end of the day to even think about making dinner. My husband & I both teach, but I don't have any work to bring home and I get home earlier, so I usually end up making dinner! I wish I could just pay someone to do it for me!

I teach Title 1 Reading K-2, and my husband teaches 5th grade math, science and social studies!

I so agree with the Melting Pot thing...we went one time and never plan on going back! I think my husband would starve if it wasnt for Stouffers!

I must admit, I've never heard good things about the melting pot. And I love your cooking style. As long as you're eating it's cool with me. If you do want some easy recipes, say your hubby is out of town, feel free to come check out my site.

Just surfing around SITS. What a great site. I'll be back soon for sure!
