Blizzard of 2010

We are currently in the middle of a historic snow storm for the east, snowfall totaling anywhere from 18" to 40". It's crazy out here, and it all started yesterday. We got another storm this past weekend with a very fluffy snow, but we were out of school for four days. This snow is much different, icy and heavy. We're really in the middle of a mess right now.

Here was my view from the couch last night, the storm started yesterday morning at around 10am and hasn't stopped yet.
This morning Brody and I headed out to our apartment porch, can you see him? It's tough to have a small white dog with white snow! He loves it, though :)
Our current view this morning...
...and the other side. It doesn't look like a lot, but we are close to 2 feet already.
Here's the view from our front door...
And there's the front of the building. Those are our two cars over there to the left. We made sure to put our windshield wipers up for this storm.
Here was our weather map yesterday...you see Fredericksburg is certainly in the blue.
And here we are today, a little movement, but we're still in the thick of this storm. We are in a winter storm warning until 10pm tonight.
I foresee, seriously, no school for a while. This snow is treacherous. If any of you, blogger friends, are in the midst of this crazy snow storm, please stay home and stay safe.

If you are shoveling to stay ahead of the game, stay hydrated and take breaks, folks. Again, be smart and be safe.

Looks like a mess! Ours started later than they said yesterday. Started as rain, then to snow. It froze really weird on the trees too! The first snow was heavy and wet, but overnight it started to dry out and we have some big drifts in our backyard! It's only 3 or 4 inches of snow, but the drifting has made it nasty. Today we have a slushy mess and when it freezes tonight it will be yucky! Stay warm and I hope you go back to school sometime! You guys are going to lose a lot of summer!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog.

Right now we just have COLD rain in Texas, but may have some snow by Thursday. I'm kind of torn...hoping for snow, but hoping it doesn't so that my schedule isn't all upended!

Cute pup!
