Pat and I are back from our wonderful Labor Day Weekend/Birthday Celebration! We had a great time up at Mom's place to celebrate not only her birthday, but an early party for my brother Cliff as well!
We ate this amazing Red Velvet cake from Costco - perfect cream cheese icing!
As far as gifts go, we had bought my Mom a beautiful bracelet like mine, but we also bought her this heart necklace from Brighton. I think it was a hit!
My brother has a 60 gig Ipod, a little bit of an older version, but all ipods will work with this radio. He can travel with it, and the radio is it's own case! We bought this from Target.

After some inspiration from my Mom this weekend, Pat and I have decided to continue working on our kitchen.
We want to add bead board throughout the entire kitchen...
...as well as add Butcher Block countertops from Ikea instead of granite. This will really go with our cottage decorating style! It's also extremely cost effective, it certainly won't break the bank!
