The New Year is Fast Approaching!

I cannot wait until Christmas Break, but more importantly, I can't wait until our annual New Year's Eve trip to Wilmington, NC.!  What a fun town that has all of the small town charm, but so much entertainment.  I think it has the most bars per building in one downtown area in the nation.  HA!

So, just to give you an idea of what we do every year to ring in the new year, we head to Level 5 At City Stage.

Here is the building on Main Street - beautiful and historical.

First you head to the rooftop bar for an unlimited, open bar and heavy hor'dourves to get the night started.  This lasts about 1 to 2 hours.

Then we head down to the old, beautiful theatre with our tickets in hand.  Patrick and I, along with the other two couples we always spend this trip with, always call in extra early to make sure to get our own tables, front and center, right by the stage.  I mean, we call in August, people...we know how to do it!

If you don't call early, you get these seats...just not the same.

This year, the musical that we are watching is Chicago.  Hair and The Who's: Tommy were the other two musicals we've seen.  This is our third year of this amazing family tradition!

In sad news, Elizabeth Edwards has passed away after a long battle with Breast Cancer.  What a graceful, intelligent, and gentle woman. 

Hopefully she's gotten some peace after all she's been through.
