Ornamentastic!

So, I've shown you my Christmas Tree, but I haven't shown you the tiny ornaments that make it our own!  I love how ornaments can be fun and decorative, but also have a personal story behind them.  Enjoy our personal Christmas Tree Story!

So country!

Patrick and I will retire here someday, and we always visit for New Year's.  What a beautiful, quaint and fun place!

I love Cracker Barrel (my dad called it "that barrel place!"), and their ornaments are fantastic!

I found this at a local museum, had to have it.

My mother-in-law just gave me this from Hobby Lobby.  I fell in love with his beard!

An ornament from my mom!

We're both music teachers, this is a must.

A beautiful country style angel.  One of my all-time favorites!

These are so IN!  Mom got it for me last year at Pottery Barn!

I used to collect pigs and my Aunt gave this to me in 2006.  Hand painted.

Just adorable.

I got this from my high school boyfriend!  Ha!  He had good taste :)

One of Pat's favorites.

Yes...we are a house...

...divided!  :o)

From my mother-in-law.  So sparkly!

Now he's just fun.

Pigs...

...and more PIGS!

And you have to have the star to top it all off.  We fell in love with this one.

We also put silver and navy blue ornaments to give it some color.  Bought from Michaels.

What makes your Christmas ornaments personal!?

Jon and I buy one of those teeny-tiny 2x2" little books for our tree every year. We have miniature copies of a Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and a few more that aren't coming to mind right now. They always look so cute nestled into the branches and they are something fun for people who come by and inevitably poke around our tree.

Also, I used to collect pigs too! :D Great minds, etc.?

I would say over half the ornaments on our tree are from my childhood! My mom bought us one every year and I had grandmothers that made ornaments for years! I have continued to buy one a year and now that I'm married we still try to add one or two new ones to the tree. This year we added 5...2 hockey ornaments and 3 Disney World ornaments!

Popping in from Friendly Friday Follow. I love all your ornaments. My grandma would give me an ornament every year and usually wrote the date on the back of them (when possible). Now that she has passed away, they are even more special. I love looking back over the memories as I put them on the tree.
