This past Halloween was very special for our family. It was Lyla's very first Halloween and I found her the CUTEST ladybug costume. But even better, Preston is now three and he is starting to really understand Halloween and enjoy it. He was scared of a couple costumes throughout the night, but overall, he had a lot of fun!
Coincidence? Preston also wanted to be a bug this year - a spider! So instead of trying to find him a spider costume, we made it ourselves!
We made the spider body kind of like a backpack that he could wear. He absolutely loved his costume and it's something we will keep forever! Maybe his kids can wear it one day ;)
Everyone in the neighborhood loved Preston's costume, but one thing we didn't think about...the size of the costume! Haha - needless to say, he learned how to walk sideways to make it through doorways and our home!

I found the ladybug costume for $2.00, the polka dot onesie for $1.00 and I was given the tights from my sister-in-law. Very affordable! ;)
I can't get over this picture. Lyla is as smiley as usual and Preston just looks like an awesome older brother who really digs his sis.
