I've always liked this one piece that Patrick brought with him which he inherited. It's a rather tall statue of a monk...
...he's pretty darn cool. Have you ever watched the Antiques Roadshow on PBS? I used to love watching that show (it's hard to find time now) and see what items people found in their attic and it turned out to be worth thousands! Didn't you ever wish that happened to you!?
Well, I'm thinking about doing that with this piece...
...he has a lot of detail and seems to have a lot of meaning as well. Good news! I did a little research and found the maker's name inscribed on the back...can you make the name out?
Zenon Paeze of Tobati Paraguay is the artist who made this lovely piece. I actually found a biography of the artist online here and it turns out he has many more pieces. Wouldn't it be cool to find out more!? I also like the mystery of it, though, knowing that we may have a one of a kind piece of art! Pretty cool, eh? Do you have a piece of art that you wonder about the worth?
You know what else is pretty cool? Jennee gave me another blog award! The One Lovely Blog Award. I'm stoked! Thanks so much, girl, I'm so glad to have you as a continuous reader! You can find Jennee at Cheap Therapy and How I See It...Reviews.
