The reception site can be the same as your ceremony site, or different. It can be at a restaurant, in church, outside, etc. What's your favorite setting?
I thought I would show you ideas this week...in pictures. Enjoy!
Gotta love a tent with chandaliers!
Destination...eat on the beach!
How about at church?
Usually a fan favorite...a hotel.
Honestly, what I looked for in a reception site was character. I knew that we were going to have to find a seperate place for our reception since our ceremony was located at our family church. I also knew that I didn't want my attendants to have to drive very far.
Another IMPORTANT aspect of a reception site...is it all-inclusive!? Will it take care of everything for you, or do you have to provide certain things? Make sure to check all expenditures and all rules of the location. BE DETAILED!
Just to show you how much fun we had at our location...

Our signature move. The hubby is a fish and I'm reelin' him in ;)
The Heart in Hand in Clifton, Va. was extremely antique, historical, and we were able to reserve the entire restaurant. They provided everything for us except for the centerpieces.
I loved the detail of the table numbers in an antique frame.

Oh yes...there was a tent attached to the restaurant that had heat and air-conditioning. And also, my favorite thing, chandaliers!
There were so many areas to take pictures with good people! There was a beautiful horse carriage right outside of the restaurant.
We were allowed to have our own band, and they had space for them and room to dance. Not the typical dance square you see in other places. It was a full room!
They provided passed hor'deurves. I believe we had shrimp cocktail, crabcakes, spring rolls, and various types of bread. YUM!
We had an open bar that was included in the package. Only beer and wine.
Again, with the town of Clifton, Va...you absolutely can't go wrong with a picturesque scene!
All of the wedding party headed down main street.
Railroad tracks!
There was a big red caboose!
LOVE IT!
Here it is...the best place! Like I said here...we are going back for Easter Brunch on our 1-year anniversary. We already made reservations!!
