Our ceremony was held at my family church, but our reception was at another location. Located in Clifton, Va., the Heart in Hand Restaurant was the perfect site for our reception. It was so us!
Like I've said before, my style is Southern with Antique accents. I absolutely love the old timey feel of things and old towns such as Clifton. My husband and I were determined to make the reception perfect, fun, and of course memorable for everyone. We were able to reserve the entire restaurant for the maximum amount of space.
This is a perfect picture to show all of the fun decorations they had for the spring time. This is a very well-known restaurant/catering business with amazing food, great decor, and a very southern atmosphere.
Our Tablescape, this is without the flower petals, though. Here was my inspiration for our centerpiece....we just used our color scheme. I thought it was a lovely touch that the table numbers were provided by the restaurant in antique frames.
Our Menu and reception gift. Instead of giving actual gifts, we donated to The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, and The ASL Association in memory of family who have passed as well as friends family who have left us. We felt it meant more than some random gift.
Here is a view of the attached tent in the back. Again, the details made it magnificent. The chandaliers, the lights, and the flowers around the perimeter of the area. Gorgeous!
Of course we had passed hors d'oeuvres before dinner by a wonderful wait staff, as well as an hors d'oeuvres station to promote mingling with the guests. YUM!
We also had an open bar in one of the front rooms. Here our personalized napkins are shown as well.
Our Band, the real entertainment of the night. The Jangling Reinharts were an amazing group of friendly guys who play an array of music that appeals to everyone. We didn't want a DJ, just not the same.
Another touch that I really liked was that we had a table of childhood pictures of us as well as pictures of our parents weddings. That was important to us because we both have parents who taught us the importance of marriage, amazing role models.
But on this table, we also placed our Blurb book that we made. Here guests could write us friendly notes as well as gaze through our engagement pictures! A fun and inexpensive way to spice up your reception!
A view of the inside.
The Groom's Cake! Patrick is a huge Colts fan and he's in love with Peyton Manning. So, this was only fitting.
Our Wedding Cake! Our goal was to keep it simple, elegant, and to fit in with the antique feel. I loved it!
A view of the wedding cake table with our bouquets. Again, the detail of the mirror on the wall was great. Heart In Hand knows how to throw a wedding reception!
Matt Veldhuis Photography did a great job all day, and here's a few shots of our rings...
...and another. This is my personal favorite.
No bubbles, no flower petals...sparklers. That's the way to go! I just didn't want my shlacked hair to catch on fire!!
On our Honeymoon we headed to Disneyworld! But we stopped in Savannah, Georgia for a day first.
Cool view of the various floors.
Then we headed to Florida, where we stayed in the Mona Lisa Suite Hotel. They had wall murals everywhere.
A view from our suite. Very retro.
View from our balcony.
Disneyworld!
These pins are like gold in Disney, so we had to get ours.
The Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue was by far the best part of our honeymoon. We payed to have great seats and see this dinner show located at one of the Disney campgrounds. Unlimited food and beverage with great country music and country comedy.
If this is your first time visiting, thanks for stopping by! Become a follower...up in the left sidebar...do it...you know you want to! :) Have a great day, folks!
